The sweetest carbon tracker out there has a new name: Carbon Donut. The new name will make it easier to understand what the app is about while maintaining all the sweetness of climate action.
Spark Sustainability’s app has a new name: Carbon Donut. The name change from The Donut to Carbon Donut was made to make sure the name communicates what the app is all about: reducing carbon emissions.
“During the beta testing of our app we noticed that the name The Donut made it difficult for users to find, so we decided to change it. The name Carbon Donut has a meaning for us since Spark’s story began with a web-based emission calculator with that same name. Now that name serves a new purpose making the app easier to find while highlighting everything the app is about: reducing carbon emissions in a fun and playful way”, says Anna Eriksson, Product Owner at Spark Sustainability.
Carbon Donut is a tool that supports you on the journey towards a one planet lifestyle. It suggests climate actions tailored to your life, explains their climate impact, and tracks your progress so that you can see the difference you and the rest of the Donut Crew are making with every climate-smart decision. What’s special about Carbon Donut is that it links to local services and products that can help users mitigate CO2 emissions, such as green electricity or vintage- or repair shops.
